Can anyone help. What is the command line to block a extension number? Our IT chap have left and one of our extension port in public area is unblocked. Any help will be appreciated. Another query...where can one get all the Siemens manual on console command if that is the correct terminology.
Many thanks

When you say "unblocked", this means that this extension can make a call international or national that's why you want it blocked? Or, you want it not to receive calls? What system do you have and where is it located?

the command you require is stac (set trunk access)
you will be prompted for tac,try 1 this is usually 999 calls only.
tac 0 will usuall bar all calls.

Hi Guys
Thanks for your help all round. Basically, we would like to block all out-going calls and incoming for that particular extension. Darren has provided me with the solution that sound rather familiar and will use the TAC 1 command We are using Siemens Realitis ver 7.1 and we are based in London.
Many thanks again.

To stop all incoming calls translate the extension number to go the switch board, for example. Operator can then advise caller that your IT chap has left. You could also set a RID diversion to voice mail and advise via the mail box that the IT chap has left and then hang-up.
If you only want to block external calls make the extension a PAX extension. You should not block all outgoing calls; allow emergency calls to be made from this extension for legal reasons.
There are numerous ways to do what you require; the simplest would be to remove the phone.

You could always REO it as an emergency phone.
