In my autoexec.ncf (NW 4.11 with last service pack) there are two lines:
SET Reject NCP Packets with bad components = OFF
SET Reject NCP Packets with bad lengths = OFF

When server starts, it does not give back errors executing those lines.

But the parameters remain set to ON!

When the server is up, I've got to write on the console the two SET commands:
SET Reject NCP Packets with bad components = Off
SET Reject NCP Packets with bad lengths = Off

Then, the parameters seem effectively SET TO OFF.

According to Novell, both should be set in STARTUP.NCF not AUTOEXEC.NCF so give that a try. -----------------------------------------------------
