I want to eliminate that step. For example, I want to use ping x.x.x.x straight from the run command line and have it stay open without typing CMD first. Is it possible?
u can also add the address bar to your start menu by right clicking the start menu select toolbars and then address. this will allow u to skip the cmd process and u can just enter commands here.
If it's gonna be the same ip, make up a batch file.
cls
ping 172.16.x.x
pause
I use this and have a batch file for hfnetchk -d <Domain_Name> This batch file checks all my 2000 machines on the domain for which patches they need. Glen A. Johnson
