command prompt unix/linux

hi all
I recently received two older PC's free from a friend and would like to put either a command prompt UNIX O/S or Linux O/S on one of them. They are K-6 150's, not too sure of the other specs yet, but does anyone know a distro of linux or a version of unix that is command prompt only that works really good?

Any linux distro can be installed with the GUI. It is up to you which packages to install... And even if you make a mistake of installing graphical environment, you can change the way linux boots up and bring it up to the shell only.
