Is there a documented place for command line parameters for scguiw32.exe ? the biggest thing I am trying to do is redirect the INI file used by the client to a different location. If there is an easy way to do this (Registry Key, command-line parameter, etc.) please let me know. Other command line parameters would be helpful too if there is a list somewhere.

Thanks,
Charles

The sc3user.ini file contains ServiceCenter GUI and other parameters for an individual ServiceCenter client computer. How can we designate where to create the sc3user.ini file? Our typical user computer configuration write protects the winnt directory, which is where sc3user.ini is created by default.

A N S W E R or C O N T E N T

The profile: parameter exists for this purpose. You can specify where to create the sc3user.ini file, using the fully qualified path as shown in the example:

-profile:c:\downloads\sc3user.ini

For users running a full client, put this parameter in the sc.ini file on the user's client computer.

For users running an express client, put it at the end of the Target property on the Shortcut tab of the icon used to launch the express client, for example:
"C:\Program Files\ServiceCenter\RUN\scguiw32.exe" -express:scserv-sd.12680 -profile:c:\downloads\sc3user.ini

Bye from Germany..
