I am currently working with three different Option 11's which have been upgraded to CS1000 using element manager.
The virtual console doesn't work for beans. I've never gotten it to function properly.

I have a standalone computer at each site connected via ethernet to the PBX and Ethernet to my microwave network so I can access it from my office.

I am trying to figure out if it is possible to access the command line interface over the ethernet connect to the PBX.
I have the CS1000 telephony manager installed on the computer, but I do not have the associated dongle to let me access the command line interface through that application.

Does anyone have any guidance or suggestions which will allow me to access the interface?

Thanks in advance for the assist.

First of all you will need to build PTY's in the PBX. Then you can use Putty to IP into the PBX's ELAN address.

You shouldn't have an issue if you can attach via the virtual terminal, even if it doens'nt work well.

LIke KCFLRC stated download PuTTY and make sure you have PTY's programmed in the system. It's free and easy to use.

After you load you would just enter in the ELAN address, and depending on your software release, either SSH or Rlogin to the PBX. Your ability to access the PBX directly is limited to your network. If you have your ELAN on a segmented VLAN then you should be able to get to the ELAN port on the PBX. If you don't, then you can attach to the signaling server via putty and you would either do a cslogin or sl1input to access the PBX.
