I have had little "formal" training on the workings of my switch, it is a definity G3siV9 having been "promoted" into this position due to the former admin retiring. I have been given a very basic understanding of the switch and the use of the console and have little to NO knowledge of what any of the terms and command lines do.
I would like to know if there is a site that gives the definitions of these terms and what exactly they do, I have an "Avaya Definity system" document on my computer but it is like trying to read Greek sometimes in that I don’t know exactly what the proper term for what I am trying to do is.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Abvove s the Avaya link to what is called "the little books". These start off with basic administration and end with advanced diagnostics. Would be a great place to start.

I have 2 documents which may help. One is a list of useful commands

The other is a page refence to basic tasks in the Basic Avaya Books which someone else mentioned

I use these when I teach system admin training via Webex

e-mail me at abacks@voicedata.com to get the docs, I don't see a way to post them here
