This is a strange one, recently if I have a DOS box open in Win2K, if I click on it with the mouse then it propduces a series (6 or 7)system beeps every time I click on it.

I've also noticed that when I right click on the DOS box, if I have any text in the clipboard, it is then copied to the command prompt.

Any suggestions?

Patrick

That is perfectly normal -- a feature, not a bug.

The beeping is odd. How are you opening the command window? Start --> Programs --> Accessories --> Command Prompt or Start --> Run --> cmd.exe or otherwise?

Normally start it by Start -> Run -> CMD
