I have a form and subform working off a query. The query gives me a list of students and attendance records. I would like an easy way of skipping records in the form to the next record where the name changes. Any ideas? thanks

I'm not sure how you have things setup. I'm guesssing you have your queries setup wrong.

I would assume that your main form contains the names of the students and your subform contains their attendance records. If you have 1 query that you use for both your main and subform, then that could be a problem. If this is the case, then create 2 queries: The main form's query would look something like:

Select DistinctRow * from tblStudents;

That will give the names of the students only once.

Thanks much, I knew it was something simple and was probably staring me in the face. It's working just fine know.
