Can someone tell me how to link a command button from the control toolbox to run a macro? I would like to have the button on the active sheet and when I click it a macro will run.

Thanks

In design mode, just double click the button. You will be brought to the coding for that button. You can either put your code there or just call the macro.
Code:
Private Sub CommandButton1_Click()
    Call YourMacroName
End Sub

Tronsliver,

Easy or not, you should still use the "proper" method of showing appreciation - by issuing a "STAR".

"thanks a million" is "NICE" ... NICER if it meant actually sending a million (dollars).

However, seeing as NONE of Tek-Tips' "willing contributors" receive any form of "payment" - EXCEPT for the "STARS", it becomes IMPORTANT to show this "proper recognition".

Issuing a STAR is simply done by clicking on the "Click here to mark this post as a helpful or expert post!" - located in the lower-left-corner of the contributor's posting.

Many Tek-Tips users (including myself) did not initially know of this "process" for showing "proper recognition and appreciation", so "you're not alone". However, issuing STARS IS IMPORTANT - for the continued "health" of this forum - i.e. to maintain the ability to attract and keep those experts who are willing to take time out of their busy schedules to help others.

Hope you appreciate this "reminder". PLEASE, do NOT consider this as a "tip" - i.e. do NOT issue a STAR for my posting. I want to EARN them in the normal way. Thanks.

Regards, ...Dale Watson dwatson@bsi.gov.mb.ca

Dale,

Thank you for pointing out my ignorance :) I'll definitely abide by the rules. This forum has been extreamly helpful to me. You'll get my first "Star".

Thanks Again

Dale:
Thanks for looking out for the members! Well put.
