When I put a command button on a certain form I get the following error message stateing
"The expression On Click you entered as the event property setting produced the following error: A problem occured while Microsoft Office Access was communicating with the OLE server ot ActiveX control etc."
The button was created with the wizard. I am testing it with a close function but it does not work with an open form function either. The form is a tabular form and the command button is in the footer. The form accesses its information from a Querry. Other forms do not seem to have a problem.
Can anyone give me a clue as to what is going on?

I saw the exact same problem back in Access 2000.
All I could do to solve it was to 'no longer use the wizards for anything', and compile the project as often as I could.

Of course, I had to re-create the whole form.

You may also try the /decompile switch.
