Comm Link Errors

Hi,
We have C++ App using SQL 7.0 running on NT client/Server.

During the overnight batch schedule, receiveing a Comm Link failure GetOverLappedResult() SQL state 08S01.

This happens sporadically and randomly.

If the failed job is restarted then it completes without error. There is very little else to go on. NICs and routers at the back office all check out, nothing unusual in the event logs for apps or DB servers.

Anyone got any more ideas ?

Sounds like a typical network hiccup. We get them occasionally also - no rhyme or reason. How frequent are they?
