Good day everyone,

This is kind of an asap question 'caus I'm actualy on a deadline...

Bear with me please 'caus I'm Flemish and thus speak dutch.

We have recorded footage for a videoclip that we hopefully will be able to broadcast on national here in Belgium. To make a long story short;
Could somebody explane to me how would be the best possible way to make a guy come out of a television set? A simple question, but I don't think that the answer will be!
Now, my first opinion was that I could first only shoot the tv set on a greenscreen. Second we shoot the background for the tv to fit in.
Next we would shoot a table (that is covered with a greenscreen) where we would try to make a guy come out of a box (that is set on the table). I think the box also has to be covered with a greenscreen so we can manipulate the guy in pro or AE either way we want. Layerd in pro or AE this should be fairly executable. What do you people think, could this result in an effect that is good enough. And it has to be good if you know what I mean.
The best way I think would be like the scene in the video clip from Eric cronenberg (I think) 'Come to daddy' from Aphex Twin. Where the guy (only for a few seconds) comes out of the tv like through some sort of a membrane or film or skin or whatever. I remember having seen this in one of sequels of Nighmare on Elm street also. Is it possible that this works on the same principle? Does someone know how this is done. Is it cgi? What I would doubt. Or is it just a big tv screen with a membrane attached to it where the guy is pushing in to? We on the other hand want him to make him go through.

If someone has a much much better idea, please do not hesitate, let me know. I'm still on the learning process, so the more brainstuff, the better.

Thanks a lot people and keep up the good work.
