I have a scenario whereby agents answer an incoming call and sometimes need to transfer it to a particular external party.(Uk to USA). When the agent places the call on hold, they dial the US number and when answered by the auto-attendant on the far end, they transfer the call. As a result ,the caller is now gone off Avaya and is queuing on the external auto-attendant. Is it possible, that the call could be transferred in a way, that the transferred call could hear a comfort announcement from the Avaya, every minute or so whilst waiting. I know the simple option is to have this configured on the external parties PBX but for some reason i have been told its not an option. Any suggestions welcome. Cheers

easy, transfer to a vdn that points to a vector with an announcement and the next step will route to the external number

Thanks Joe. Though with this solution, Will the transferred call, hear the announcement once, then when the call connects to the transfer destination just hold in there queue. I would like the call to hear the announcement at 1 minute increments whilst waiting for an agent on the far end to answer?

no my way it would route after the annc, not sure if you have look a head inter-flow if it would work that way.
