I am an IT Pro but a relative newbie when it comes to telephony. We have an old Comdial system and want to move our fax line. Staff manually answer a phone line, determine if it is a fax, and then forward to the fax machine. I can move the machine and get a good dial tone at the new port. The new port is assigned the same number as the old port (verified by calling out and checking caller ID) but a forwarded call goes only to the old port. Any help would be appreciated.
