Comdial losing CO ports

The system at this site is a Comdial FX II -96. The CPU, Services, and Software are for a Comdial FXT -112. The local tech shop is requesting that I downgrade to the original card and original software. This office has lost multiple ports on the two line adapters.

Any thoughts?
