Some of the Windows 98 (and win95) PCs on my network are getting "explorer caused an invalid page fault in module comctl32.dll" errors when they boot up.
I have tried updating the version of comctl32.dll on their machines, and also deactivating the MS Office Toolbar but this has not solved the problem.
Does anyone have any ideas on other possible solutions to this? (the error appears just as Novell's ZenWorks is completing - but novell say its not them !)

Comctl32.dll is the library of definitions for your com ports. Updating it (SFC) won't work without updating a couple of other files.
The easiest fix, is to "repair" IE, then extract kernel32.dll and comctrl32.dll from the CD using SFC. Cheers,
Jim
