I have a client with a Magix, PRI T1 off of a fairly new Comcast product where they emulate PRI T1 handoff. Works fine local, not international. I haven't altered the table yet, it is default.

When we call international, we just get dead air. No error tone, no recording. Comcast tells me AT&T handles their international.

Any thoughts on what I could tweak on the MAGIX or does the dead air indicate it's out on the network and needs massaging on their end?

With PRI, there's this business of "flagging" a call as National or International. Why is that important? I dunno. Seems like a smart switch should be able to ditch the prefaced 011 digits...but they don't.

What I'm saying is that you need to either send the call with the National bit toggled AND send the 011 digits OR send the call as International, but strip those digits.

Here's how it's done in programming:

Hit F1, F5 and then F4 (get to the 'Change Type of Number' parm).
F4 is Lines and Trunks
F6 is PRI
F8 is Outgoing Table
F2 is Special Service
F3 is Type of Number (dial 0 at the "Enter entry number" and press Enter)
F1 is National (select and press Enter)
F5 is Exit

Finally, put a star next to my name and YOU'RE DONE!
