combobox - refresh form

On my form, (access 97) combo1 selects dept.
Combo2 selects employees who are in that department.
It looks beautiful the first time but if I select, another department, it still only show those in the department originally selected.
Is it a repaint? requery? After update of combo1?
I've tried all morning to search for the answer but I'm getting frustrated.

on the afterupdate event of combo1 add the following line of code...

Me!Combo2.Requery

P.S. I would Highly recommend using meaningful names for the comboboxes like cboDept and cboEmployee... Makes everything easier to read.

That is exactly what I needed - and so simple. FYI-I do name the comboboxes to reflect their data in the applications.
