ComboBox Assigns New Value to Control Source

This issue is sporadic. When I first create (or re-create) the form, this problem does not exist. The problem can appear after 1 or 30 records have been created.

I have a comboBox that has [ContactId] as it's Control Source.
When I select one of the items in the ComboBox, a new ContactId is generated. The following error message appears:

"The currunt field must match the join key '?' in the table..."

Any ideas?

If u bind a field table generated by join to an combo u have to be shure u dont modify the combo cuz whend u bind a control the data is trensfered in both ways ( from table to control and from control to table) and if u had an join table this is just for read use not for update use...
