when you use the wizards to create a combo box to do something useful such as look up records based on the value of the combo, don't change the name of the combo to something 'useful' such as cboFindOrder after having used the wiz to create it. you will find that Access has created code for Combo15 (or wahtever name it gave it upon creation) but has not updated the name when you do. Thus, the code is left lying around for Combo15, but there is no event code for cboFindOrders. Simple, but infuriating.

A valid point. But it would go against the grain for me to have a control called 'Combo15' in my application. It will be OK if you rename the control, select the OnClick event (or other event), click 'Event Procedure', and paste the code from the Combo15 event procedure into the new procedure.

OK it's more complicated but keeps everything understandable.
Have fun!)
