combo box mouse_move

I would like to creat a combo box that recognizes the mouse_move event and ultimately return the index of the list item that is highlighted (blue) when the mouse is dragged over the dropdown list box of the combo box.
I am running NT/5 and therefore can find the handle of the list box portion if that helps.
