combo box items missing 1

I have a combo box with four items in the collection "North", "South", "East" and "West". I assigned the items to the combo box in the properties window. When I run the program none of the items are displayed in the list, but the program acts like they are there (I can type "S" and it highlights the area where it should be displayed and changes to South). Everything was working, but I just got a new computer and now it is not displaying the list. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Do you have any McAffee products installed/Running? There was some glitch that was causing text not to show up in .Net list and combo boxes from them. Check their web site for an update.

McAfee was the problem.
