When I select from a combo box on a form the text is recorded, but when the information is recorded on the table it is just numeric. Can somebody please tell me how to get the table to record the text from the combo box.

Cheers

Open the form in design view. Right click on the combo box and choose Properties. On the data tab, there is a property named BoundColumn. That tells you what column is stored in the table. In most combo boxes, there are two columns, only one of which is shown. The hidden column, which is usually the ID column, is stored in the table. If you change the Bound Column property to 2, that will store the second column into the table. You may have to change a few other properties also; check out the help files on Comboboxes and Bound Columns.

Are you sure you want to do this though?? Your users should never be seeing the tables and any forms can have a query which pulls in the text as its record source.
