Somewhat new to SSRS and always learning.

I have created a Matrix report with Part Numbers as the rows, date ranges as the columns and qty totals as the values. I need to find a way to effectively combine some of the part numbers. For instance, I have the following part numbers:

500-01-01
500-01-02

I need the report to sum them simply as part 500-01 and report them as a single row. Any suggestions on how to do this?

Thanks for your help

Either group in the SQL or create a grouping field in your report...kinda depends on how many of these things there are...if you have a lot, your best bet is to use a lookup table and utilise that within your SQL to create the groups that you need to sum on

We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colours but they all live in the same box.
