Combining subtotals

I need to know if there is a way of combining the subtotal from a subreport and the subtotal from the main report to create an aggregated total in the report header.

The only way is to put yet another subreport in the report header that will calculate this result independently of the rest of the report.
If you can put the result in the report footer, you could then use a shared variable to accumulate the aggregate amounts.
