I have a report with a subreport for payroll purposes. Each is based on a query and each query prompts for PAY DATE and for PAYEE.

To run the report, I have to enter each parameter twice - once for the main report and once for the subreport.

Is there a technique that would allow me to only enter this information once? It would be much more efficient and, more importantly, it would guarantee accuracy.

Thanks,
GS

Duane, you certainly sent me in the right direction.

I now have form with two unbound controls, one for Pay Date and one for Payee. I works nicely with a combo box to select the payee.

My report and subreport queries now refer to the values input into these form fields, which means I only have to input the values once.

While I was at it, I created a command button on the form to launch the payroll report. Voila - enter a date, a name from a list (actually just the first letter of the name) and the click the command button, and I have a very nice payroll report.

Thanks as always!
GS
