Combining Numbers and Strings 1

Is there a way to combine numbers and strings? I wnat to combine a string value with a random number. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sure is!!

Once you have your formula to create your number, simple create a new formula like :

"text you want"+ totext({number})

You can ofcourse replace the text string with a field or formula name if you need to.

CR8 also supports the & opeator which can append together different field types - but it always uses the default field format.

For that reason I use a formula with ToText() on the numeric and date fields.
