I am trying to combine 3 quries into a single report.

They are groupby queries that give me counts are certain sample types. Management would like to see it all in one report.

I made three seperate queries they made a master query and joined them all by login date.

I capture all the info but it repeats the info if one of the other queries has more line items to show.

I also tryed a union query as well..

I really dont even need to join them at all. Just would like to see all the info on one page. like they were doing in excel before we switched to access.

is it possible to show all these queries on a single report without joining any fields??

Thanks

Yes, just create separate reports for each, then add them as subreports on a new blank report.

How about using the "Hide Duplicates" property of the controls on your report to make the data invisible if it's repeated? Would that work? Joe Miller

I need it to prompt for the date they want to see on the report. If i create subreports will that still work?

Or would they have to enter the date three seperate times?

Thanks DVannoy

They would have to enter the date three separate times, you'd be better off calling the report from a form and having them put the dates on the form. OR you could assign the dates to a global variable that the queries could call. The form route is much easier to accomplish.

If you only want to see records for that one date, you could put it on your main report and link the subreports by that field. Then you would only be prompted once. But I would recommend the form option anyway - it's simple and very flexible.

(You would put Forms![formname]![date control] in the criteria of your queries.)

OK, so would i have to setup filters or what? after i make a form based on all the queries then what. create a report based on that form and once the form shows the data i want ,behind a command button have it print the report with just the info that the form shows??

If so, wouldnt that have to be a actual record?

Thanks Guys

No, not a form based on the queries. A form that is unbound with two text boxes, one for start date, one for end date and a command button to launch the report. The user fills in the text boxes, clicks the button and the report opens with the queries looking to the form for their dates.
