What I'm trying to do is create a combination chart that has an x-axis, a primary value axis and a secondary value axis. I suppose this is called a combination chart, with one axis displaying a bar chart and the other a line chart. I'm not sure about how to go about this in Crystal.

You would insert a line chart and choose the advanced layout. Add your "on change of" field and then add two summaries. Then right click on the chart->chart analyzer->format chart->general->layout tab and check "dual axes". To get the bars, go back to the chart analyzer and select one of the lines until it is bolded. Then right click->format chart->series->general tab->Always show selected series as: choose "riser".

LB is, as always, right on. Be aware that in different versions of Crystal, you may find charting options in different places. For example, there is no Chart Analyzer in Crystal XI.
