Hi,
I've looked around on this site and haven't seen this question posed. So, I'm going to pose it.

I'd like to impose a scatter chart over a bar chart. Is that possible?

Here's a bit of the detail. I have pay range data on a bar chart (actually a stock chart) So say the pay range starts at $5 has a middle point of $10 and a top of $15. Now I'm looking at employees actual pay rates and I want to impose those pay rates (e.g., $3, $7, $8 etc) over the pay range bar chart.

Is this enough info to clearly explain?

Thanks for any help you may provide.

Hi,

Any number of way to accomplish this. Here's a way.

Set up data/chart for Bar Chart.

COPY the data range for the new series.

Select the Chart - Data/PasteSpecial - paste series

Select the series object within the chart

Chart/Chart Type - select x-y scatter

If you need to put on a secondary axis, select series - Format/Selected Data Series - Axis Tab

Skip,
