COM3: Device or Unit Number already in Use

We have a laptop, Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100 that when we try to replicate we are getting an error that says, COM3: Device or Unit Number already in use. We have checked that COM3 is the correct modem, it works fine through hyperterminal. Also before dialing, we went to File-Mobile-HangUP. Still no luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Found our own problem, the Fax service was running automatically, I stopped this service and set it to manual, all works great now.
