Hi All,

I'm having a senior moment. I'm setting up Com Win on a new machine and I'm trying to get it to save the passwords but it won't let me type into the password box for FAMOS login.
I seem to remember that somethings needs to be set to allow it but I cannot see anything obvious.

Any ideas?

I was trying to add additional processors on mine the other day and discovered that if I made a copy of an existing record that wasn't of the same type I was using and then tried to change the type that if more than one tab was set as "active" that it tended to gray out the other ones and not let you fill them out completely. I would look for errant tick marks in some of the other tabs in case something strange is set as the active protocol so it won't let you change the one you want.

I can't remember if I gave up and made a new one from scratch and then just entered only the parameters that were used in one that already works, and I got it to work, but I do know I was having an issue with being lazy and trying to copy another record.

Maybe that will help.

Default config is not to allow the saved password. If you open ComSecurity in the Comwin directory you can allow it.

Thanks Moriendi,

That was it, the security dialogue.

Thanks again.
