What do you mean by COM server?
The usual way to get a report to run is
1) Manually via CR, or any of the third party viewers
2) Automatically via Crystal Enterprise, Seagate Info, or any of the third party schedulers.
Ken Hamady has a list of 3rd party viewers and schedulers on his web site including my cView and cViewMANAGER utilities.
