Hi
Have setup a simple client/server COM Service running on Windows 2000 (SP4). The client requests are working fine when both the client and server machines are up and running. However if I leave the client application running and restart the server, all future requests (the server is back up and logged in ect..) return 'RPC server is unavailable'. If the client application is restarted then the requests start working again. Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers
Mozza

You client application needs to discard any interfaces it got from the server before the server was restarted, and allocate fresh new interfaces after the server is restarted. They are not automatically restored for you if the server restarts.
