Hello,

I'm searching a tool or driver, which converts a pysical COM-Port on a PC to the TCP-RAW-Protokoll as TCP-Client(Winsock-based). Something like this for the reverse way (virtual COM-Port over TCP to a Port-Server) can I find, but not this way. Do someone know, where to get a tool like this??

many thx ;-)

I haven't heard of this before. But my question is for what purpose? The com port has much lower bandwidth capabilities than even 10baseT ethernet.

Just curious.

We're looking for such a tool, because we're using a distributed User-Software in a industrial application. This SW has only a TCP-connection trough the hole ethernet as 'common rail'. Maybe you know TCP-Com-Port-Server-Devices as seperate hardware. This devices are doing exactly this, want we want. But we want use the onboard Com-Ports in the existing IPC's as well as inputdevices, like sensors, barcodereaders, etc.

best regards from germany

Ralf G.
