Can anyone tell me if it is possible to share a com port?
An if yes, How ???? System = W95 through TCP/IP NT network

Situation: I got a LED display connected to a PC's COM port with RS232. The software to change the text has to be on the PC to which the display is connected. Now we already installed the software on another PC, but we still need to activate the text on the PC to which the display is conencted to. This is a problem because the PC & display are in a diffent place than the person who is responsible for the text is in.
We really wanted now to install a sort of sharing for the com port, so that the person responsible for the text also can activate the text on the display, without going to the other PC.

Tnx,

YO

Not sure if this will work for your application but it does give you the ability to "Share a Com Port" Take a look at it (it's a third party app), I don't believe Windows has the ability to share a com port without a third party product.

*end users are just like computers, some you can work with...others just need a simple reBOOTing to fix their problems.*
