Hei
I need to use a component that is installed in Windows2000 Server in my clients Windows98.
I exported an application proxy to my client.
But I get this error:
The remote server machine does not exist or is unavailable
My Server has the lastest Service Pack 3 and my client has the Windows Installer 2.0.
What Do I need to do to resolve it?
I hope, you help me...

thank you, dennis

error 462 is sometimes caused by the server package crashing. After verifing that it is a problem with only your win98 machines by using another NT/W2k/XP machine to connect to the objects you may want to look at networking. It could be that WINS is not set up on your 98 boxes.
Try pinging the server using it the Server name
Look in the registry to see that it is actually pointing to the correct server and not a old development box or something.
