COM Components in windows 2003

Hi all
This is my first posting to this forum, we recently decided to host out web sites in 2003 environment. Our websites are using some COM components like RDS and other COM components like for sending mails and creating PDF files, I just wanted to know that how COM components are registered and behave differently in windows 2003 server environment.
