Hello-
I am stuck on a reort with a subreport that has 3 columns (columns set at 2" width and 2" Height. The report displays the subreport with columns with height necessary to accomodate the number of text box records in the recordset.

Any ideas how to fix this? I have gone around & round with no solution. Thanks

So you want to change your columns to go accross then down?

Or does the main report have the columns?

If I set the report to down & then across a single long column is printed. It is now set at across then down. Three columns are printed however they are longer than the specified column height of 2 inch (as set up under File> Pge setup @ column tab).

Any ideas?- apprcieated

I don't understand your question/problem. I have no idea what the Height property in Columns is used for. Normally the height of the detail section will times the number of records divided by the number of columns will dictate the height of the subreport control on the main report.

Your explanation "normal" behavior pointed the way to a solution.
The main problem wass that in the main report the Subreport that contains 3 columns would not “snake” to the next column. The solution was changing the Can Grow property to No.

I thought that the Page Set up Column Size Height property set this.

Thanks for pointing the way. The problem is solved.
