Columns in Report Detail Section 1

I have a report that has several groupings. The detail section has 1 field. There can be 1 to ... Items in the detail section. Is it possible to set up columns only in the detail section so that the items can be printed in the following format


Drug1 Drug2 Drug3
Drug4

Instead of
Drug1
Drug2
Drug3
Drug4




 
Forgot to mention I'm working in Access 2003. Some of the users have Access 2007 and others have access 2000. So the solution would have to work for all 3 versions.
 
I have several groupheaders on this report to display Line of Business, Provider Group Name, Member information and PCP Information. The only section that needs columns is the Detail with displays each Drug that Member has prescribed to him/her within the last 90 Days. I initially tried a sub report with the columns for the prescriptions it was exactly what I wanted visually but with the high number of members and since our members are all seniors an even higher number of prescriptions the report took hours to run. Removing the sub report and putting that data into the main report reduced the time from hours to minutes but the prescription data is 1 per line which leaves a lot of white space in the report.
