Column Reports Using Groups

I need a fairly simple report that looks like:

Group 1 Group 2
1 3
2 4

But reporting with multiple columns wraps headings inappropriatley. Anyone else figure out how to report when you only have 1 column of data that is grouped and you want to use the whole width of the page, but have the data lined up?

What is 1,2,3,4....results under respective columns?

if 1 and 3 are related by that I mean that there is one value for group 1 and a corresponding value for group 2

you can do this

group 1 header....suppress
group 2 header.... {name Group 1} {name Group 2}
detail ....suppress
group 2 footer....suppress
group 1 footer.... {Group 1 field} {Group 2 Field}

that should do it...make sure to add to the conditional suppress of Group 2 header : "RepeatedGroupHeader"
