Column does not total. 1

I have a report that has 2 levels, the first is the acutal order or sales detail including pricing. The second level is the saleman infomation. The final report is showing the total of the cost column but all 0's for the sales amount total. The sales amount shows up but it will not total them at the bottom like it does on the cost column. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Try providing:

Crystal version
Database used
Example data (and where in the report it exists along with any subreports)
Expected output

Any field in the details section can be summed by right clicking->Insert->Summary->Sum

Hopefully this helps, if not, supply technical information.

sales amount total - is this a formula in the detail section? If so you may need to assign the value of the sales amt to a variable which accumulates the total, and put this in a formula as a 'footer'. Not sure if this really is the problem, so I have not provided much detail.
