I've been away from PowerDesigner for a year or two. Used to use version 6, now I'm having to use version 7.5.

I reverse engineered my database into PD7.5 no problem. Now I want to edit and make the column NAMES more user friendly. When I do this, the column CODE changes and I believe that is bad - isn't the column CODE the name used in the database schema?

How to type a new name and leave the column as it is known to SQL unchanged?

Hello.

Go to tools - General options - Dialog - and deslect - Name to code mirroring.

This will stop the auto copy of name to codes. You are right in that it is the code that is generated to SQL.

Wow, just now got back to this issue.

I looked in TOOLS --> General Options and under Dialog there is no "Mirror" option available.

I'm using version 7.5.0.739 - could this be the problem?

How you resolve the problem of you own about "code change with name"?
I encounter the SAME question NOW!
Thank you!

I don't believe there is a fix in the version you are running - you will have to upgrade.
