Hi, I read through the previous posts and was able to get my report into 3 column, but I seem to have a problem I can not solve.

My first column is blank, my data starts on the second column.

Any ideas on what I did wrong or left off.
Thanks
Sharon

Are you only seeing two columns on your report? Are you getting a warning message that "Some data may not be displayed."? If so, you'll need to shrink your report down horizontally so your 3 columns will fit. For example, if you are in portrait layout (8.5 inches across with 1 inch margins left and right), your report will need to be just over 2 inches wide so 3 columns will fit into 6.5 inches of space.

My second and third page have all three comumns. Only the first one skips the first column and starts the data in column two.

I'm stumped.

This may be a stupid question, but have you checked the underlying data source for your report? Run your query that you have set as the data source for your report, and see if there is blank data for the field you're displaying in the columns. If your report is sorting by a particular field, make sure you sort your query the same way to get an accurate view of the data.

No quetion is stupid. I did check that again after reading your post. All seems well in that respect.

My problem is that my report looks like a Word document that has three columns. This is not a typical column report. I have taken a report that lists the data from each record vertically and snaked it into 3 columns.

It almost appears as if I have a column break before the data starts and I can't remove it.

I'm stumped. I told the boss we'd have to live with it that way for a while until I can figure it out.
