Colours on Stage

I have two movie clips on the one stage with a color palette to select from. I want to click on the color and then on the movie clip on the stage that i want to fill, similar to the following site It will work when there is only one movie clip however when i add the second mc it will not work. Any suggestions on how to get around this would be greatfully appreciated
