Colouring Alternative Backgrounds 1

I have successfully coloured alternate records in a Group Header.
using the following code on a text box,
if remainder(GroupNumber,2) = 0
then crBlue
else crWhite

However, this will not work where I use it in the detail section as some records are suppredded.

Any ideas how I can do this in the detail section, maybe using a counter.

One way would be to use a running total and set an evaluation formula so that it only counts when the suppression formula = false.
