coloured popup box contents 1

Is there any way i can get a forms popup box to have different coloured backgrounds.
For example i want a popupbox with 3 selections, Red, Orange and Green and i want the background of the red selection to be red, the background of the orange one to be orange and the background of the green one to be green.

Is this possible?

I am a little confused. (my normal state) are you talking about alert/prompt type boxes or popup windows?

sorry just realised i was using the wrong terminology (i'm programming in Perl at themoment and there called popupbox's in that) err i want a pull down menu you know <SELECTION> and <OPTION> tag thing and i want it so each <OPTION> is a different colour
