Hi Everyone,

Im new to HTML and web design, I did do it years ago but my age is effecting my memory..

Right, what I would like to do it have the background start off on the left had side as white and then fade into another colour by the time it gets to the other side....

Can this be done via code or should I simply use a graphics package and create one? And if its code any ideas how?

Many thanks

D.

Use a thin graphic as the background and repeat it vertically. One drawback is that you now have a fixed width for your page.

OR

Use a graphic without the white part and repeat vertically, positioning it on the right hand side.

Thanks Greg,

Think I will go for the second option as that seems to make more sense.

Thanks for your time.

Why? What's the difference between a (for example) 200 pixel graphic on the left fading from dark to white and one on the right darkening from white to dark?
