Hello all!

I am very new to flash, and I am very very frustrated at the moment!

I am trying to produce a rollover effect on a button (for my menu system), which fades the colour from white to dark blue, slowly.

I have done this once before, and I know that it is as simple as having two images on the timeline, and creating a tween effect between the two... BUT I CANNOT GET IT TO WORK!!!

I go to my button states, select the OVER state, and change the image to a movie. In this movie I insert another keyframe at about the 15th frame, and adjust the colour on this image to dark blue.
Next I right click on the first frame and select 'create motion tween'. I do the same for the previously inserted frame, BUT the blue image now changes back to white!

I can’t figure out why this is, and I am just about at the end of my tether!!!!

Help!!

Cheers in advance

Yeah, something like that. But I dont know anything about scripts, and I definately did it before with just a tween - which is infinately easier to do (for me anyways)!.

I will have a play with that link though... but if you know how to achieve the same affect with tweening - met me know!!!!

Cheers

ok - thanks for that!

I will have a play with it - and get back to you if I have a problem! (which I probably will!)

Hi again FireGambler

I dont suppose that you could give me a walkthrough on how you created the colourchanginbutton (in the other thread)...

It looks a little bit complicated to me!!!

Cheers in advance!

Actually - I think I have it now - I have adjusted the images that you had - to look like my current buttons!

Hope this is ok!

I still need that walkthrough though, because I want to understand how to do this for the future!

Allso - How do I set an 'On Click' state for the button? - and allso - How do I set the link URL's for the on click event?

AND (sorry about this!) - At the moment, if you move the mouse over, and remove it quickly, the button just fades to the next colour... How do I make it always fade back to the original colour when the mouse is not over it??

Hope this makes sense!!!

Cheers

CHEERS Oldnewbie!

I like it...

BUT, how do you change the colour of the text 'onclick'?

Thanks very much for that OldNewbie.

BUT I really dont understand what is going on with this button!!!

Can anyone give me a simple walkthrough on how to create this effect!!!

I cant even work out how to change the ones that you've given me anymore!!

HELP!

Cheers guys
